The placement fee becomes payable as soon as the placement has been accepted by both parties, but will normally be invoiced when arrival details are confirmed. However if the host family cancels the placement after such has been accepted by both parties, then the full placement fee remains payable and will be immediately invoiced.
If the au pair proves to be unsatisfactory or leaves within the first three weeks a replacement will be offered as soon as possible. If no replacement is available or acceptable the placement fee minus £75 for administration costs will be refunded. A replacement or refund will only be offered if the agency is advised within the first three weeks that the au pair is unacceptable or has left. After such time no refund can be made.
The success of the placement obviously depends upon there being built a good relationship between the au pair and the host family and that itself depends upon patience, mutual understanding and goodwill.
Abbey Au Pairs is not able to guarantee the promised length of stay. Except in the event of the au pair leaving within three weeks as referred to above, no refund can be made in the event of premature departure.
